Dear Brethren, Greetings and Peace to you I was joined in the hospital in Rajahmundry on 10th June with a high speed heart beating rate. It is a heart related problem. Some times the heart beating rate will be increased very high to its normal i.e., 72 times per minute. At that time the heart beats about 200 to 250 times per minute. Doctors told that it may leads to so many complications. They said that there are no treatment facilities at Rajahmundry. So they suggested me to go for higher medical care at Hyderabad, our state capital. I have discharged from hospital 12th evening at Rajahmundry. I am planning to go to Hyderabad on 15th June (Sunday evening) for further treatment. Please pray for my travel, treatment and health. Please pray for the ministry going on here in India. Thanking you very much. Yours brother in Christ, P.V.Ratnam. Preacher, Church of Christ Ratnampeta INDIA.

Dear Members in the Body of Christ,

Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

We are enjoying every day with the good gathering of children of our congregation at Ratnampeta by singing songs, reading scriptures, memory versus etc for the last couple of days as the children of our congregation are free from their studies as most of them are completed their annual examinations. And the remaining children are also going to complete their annual examinations by this month end or so.

They are every day coming to our home as they have Summer Holidays, to learn the things to teach by us from the Bible. These children are reporting me that all the Churches (denominational), they are conducting VBS (Vacational Bible School) courses every day for 2 to 4 hours daily in their respective church buildings for the children during this summer vacations. They are interested to learn the word of God every day for two months which is their summer vacation period (April last week to June 3rd week)

They are in an average of 25 at Sunday school, but due to holidays, they are now 48 in number. They are in between 3 years to 14 years age group as detailed below:

1.       1 to 3 years  - - - - - 08

3.       7 to 10 years - - - - - 16

4.       11 to 14 years - - - - 11

My request is, if you have any information regarding a set of Bible Quiz material and a set of Sunday School Children lessons prepared by the churches of Christ, please provide the source of the material. Please try to provide me one set of each Bible Quiz and the Children lessons basing on the age groups, so that I can make it necessary copies. If you have enough number of sets please send us. Dear Brothers and Sisters,

I have received the following message from one my Co Preachers of Rajahmundry area Churches of Christ. The message is as follows:

I am P.Sundara Rao, Preacher. I am working in two congregations named Katavaram and Lakshmipathi Cheruvu which are nearby Rajahmundry. There are 6 members and 20 visitors in Lakshmipathicheruv congregation. We are meeting at member's residence for worship.

This area is abandoned Irrigation Tank for the last 50 years. There are several poor and homeless people migrated from different places and occupied the national highway and were evicted by the highway authorities during the time of National highway expansion in 2002 and occupied and constructed thatched sheds in this tank area. There are fifty houses and nearly 80 families are residing. These people are very poor. On 12th February 2008, fire hit this poor colony, costs 26 houses collapsed and 36 families became homeless. They lost their shelter, clothes and all their belongings.

I informed to brother Ratnam about this fire accident. He visited this place. Some village elders provided meals for ten days to them. Some people arranged utensils for the affected families. But I am unable to help them in any way. Even today they are in the roof of the sky. They didn’t build the houses. They are struggling for daily bread. They are living under polythene sheets (covers).

Please pray for these least brothers and Sisters. Please for their safety and strength. Please pray for the ministry going on here in my place.

August 2007, Ministry updates.
Rajahmundry area Churches of Christ – INDIA.

Dear Saints,
Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.
For the month of August 2007, I am reporting Preachers Fellowship, Eye camp and Baptisms besides Street Gospel Meetings, House Visitings and mid week services at the congregations of Rajahmundry area.
We have conducted a Free Eye Camp on 28.08.2007 at Ratnampeta, Rajahmundry. Wide publicity was given for this camp by Posters, Pamphlets, Mic announcement on Auto and intimated to the congregations. We have intimated the people who are residing in slum areas and rural villages.
This camp was conducted on 28.08.2007 from 10.00AM to 4.00 PM with the help of Gowthami Eye Hospital, Rajahmundry. It was cloudy on that day. We were worried about rain as it was rains season. By Gods grace there was no rain.
The doctors and staff of Gowthami Eye Hospital are reached our house with all necessary equipment on their hospital bus. They arranged their equipment in the rooms at my home and conducted camp. They have conducted camp in different stages like patient's registration, primary checkup, eye drops, vision testing on computerized machine, vision testing on letters charts etc.
Nearly 450 people attended to the camp, out of which 80 Patients were identified for the IOL (Intra Ocular Lens) operation. Primarily this was an identifying camp and the actual operations were conducted on 29.08.2007at the Hospital. IOL operation was conducted for 80 patients and 125 spectacles were given to the needy patients. The hospital provided IOLs on free of charge as they were reimbursed from district blind control department.
My wife, children and the Preachers including the members of the church participated very actively in this camp, by helping the patients in all the stages. We attended to the hospital next day and provided break fast and lunch for them.
After the primary camp, we have conducted night gospel camp and we provided 50 Sarees to some Lepers, widows and downtrodden people who were attended to the camp.
